Besides being a Durham native, Steve has been in the real estate business, beginning as the superintendent of his father’s construction company, since 1975. For eight years he owned his own construction company, winning the Durham-Chapel Hill Home Builders Association Parade of Homes Grand Award in 1989. Steve’s construction company specialized in both residential and commercial properties. Throughout his career he has acquired first-hand knowledge of the Durham real estate community as a builder, board member of the Durham-Chapel Hill Home Builder’s Association, N.C. home inspector, real estate appraiser and now as a practicing real estate broker.
Steve was a 1975 graduate of Jordan High School here in Durham. He is an ACC basketball fan and enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two sons.
